Meghalaya Police intercepted 18 Bangladeshi nationals and detained two Indian touts during a pre-dawn operation in West Jaintia Hills district near the Dawki border. Acting on intelligence inputs, police stopped multiple vehicles heading towards the border and seized five vehicles. A case has been registered under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, and authorities reiterated their commitment to preventing illegal cross-border activities.
