Meghalaya Sends Team to Probe Student’s Death in Karnataka

A two-member Meghalaya team has been sent to Karnataka to investigate the death of 13-year-old Khrehlang Khongtani, who died from suspected food poisoning at an unauthorized hostel. The student was among 30 who fell ill after eating leftover Holi food. The Lei Synshar Cultural Society, which sent the students for free education, denied RSS affiliation and clarified parental consent is always taken.
