Mild Earthquake Jolts Assam and Bhutan, No Damage Reported

A mild earthquake of 4.6 magnitude struck parts of Assam and neighboring Bhutan at 7:47 a.m. IST on Sunday. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported the epicenter near Udalguri, Assam, at a depth of 15 km.

Tremors were felt in several Assam districts, including Guwahati, Tezpur, and Nagaon, and extended to Nagaland’s Dimapur and Arunachal’s Itanagar. No casualties or significant damage have been reported so far.
