Minor Girl Dies After Stone Falls from Under-Construction Building in Guwahati

A minor girl, Papiya Barman, lost her life after a stone from an under-construction building fell on her while she was asleep in Guwahati’s Chatribari area. The incident occurred around 5 PM on Monday. She was rushed to Nemcare Hospital and later shifted to GMCH, where she succumbed to her injuries. Locals accused Sipani Complex of illegal construction and demanded action. Despite their requests, no FIR has been registered yet. Police have begun an investigation.
