Missing Tihu Businessman Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances

Tihu: A 42-year-old businessman from Tihu, Gunajit Kalita, who had been missing since June 30, died after being found in critical condition at a hotel in Byrnihat, Meghalaya. He was shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Kalita’s family had reported him missing after his phone became unreachable on June 30. Reports said rope marks were found around his neck, raising questions over the circumstances of his death. The incident is under investigation.
