Mizoram hosts 8861 refugees from Manipur in 10 districts

Mizoram has received at least 8,861 refugees from the violence-hit Manipur so far, and they have been spread across 10 of the 11 districts of the state, a Home Department official said on Saturday.

With over 45,000 individuals fleeing Manipur after the breakout of violence between two ethnic communities on May 3, Mizoram has been witnessing a daily influx of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the neighbouring state.
