Morigaon Police Arrest 10 in Major Cybercrime Crackdown

Morigaon: In a significant operation, Morigaon police arrested 10 cybercriminals in a district-wide crackdown targeting online fraud and identity theft.

Led by Additional SP (Crime Branch) Samiran Baishya, raids were conducted in Moirabari, Laharighat, Bhuragaon, and Mayang. Police believe the suspects are part of a larger cybercrime network, with more arrests likely as investigations proceed.

Authorities have urged residents to report suspicious online activities and remain vigilant. This comes after East Guwahati Police also busted a cybercrime gang last month, recovering ATM cards, SIM cards, and mobile phones used in fraud.
