Morigaon Police Arrest Three Cyber Fraudsters in Late-Night Operation

Morigaon Police arrested three cybercriminals during a late-night raid at Moirabari village on Saturday. The accused had been on the run and were frequently changing locations to evade arrest. Police said the trio cheated multiple companies of around ₹15 lakh and were booked under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act. The operation was led by Additional SP (Crime) Samiran Baishya.

Earlier, a joint operation by Kerala Police and local police led to the arrest of another cybercrime accused linked to a ₹27-crore bank fraud, with luxury vehicles, digital evidence, and illegally acquired properties seized under the supervision of Diganta Baruah.
