Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run on Saraighat Bridge

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on Saraighat Bridge in Guwahati on Tuesday after being struck by an auto-rickshaw whose driver fled the scene.

The victim, riding a motorcycle (AS01M3118), was left critically injured and later rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses said the driver did not stop to assist after the collision.

Police from Jalukbari Police Station reached the spot and have launched an investigation to identify and trace the absconding driver.

Authorities have appealed to the public to share any information related to the incident.
