Nagaon Bypoll Records 76.19% Voter Turnout

Nagaon: The Nagaon parliamentary by-election in Assam concluded peacefully on Tuesday, recording a provisional voter turnout of 76.19% across eight assembly segments. Samaguri registered the highest turnout at 80.34%, while Raha recorded the lowest at 70.27%.

Polling was held at 2,112 booths under tight security. A few EVM-related issues were reported but were resolved promptly by election officials. The bypoll saw a triangular contest among the BJP, Congress and AIUDF, with counting scheduled for October 9.
