Narcotics seized, one arrested in STF-Kamrup Police joint operation

A joint operation by the Assam Special Task Force (STF) and Kamrup Police on Thursday led to the seizure of suspected narcotics and the arrest of one person in Kamrup district.

Acting on specific intelligence, the team intercepted an e-rickshaw at Sontali and recovered 24 soap boxes containing suspected drugs weighing around 315 grams, indicating an attempt to conceal the contraband.

The accused, Robiul Hussain from Rangeswari Pam under Nagarbera Police Station, was arrested at the scene.

Police said further investigation is underway to trace the larger network linked to the drug consignment.
