New Laws Initiative: Biswanath Police Hosts Awareness Programme

Biswanath Police, in collaboration with TLNC and Sootea PS, organized an awareness programme at Sootea PS’s VDP conference hall. Superintendent of Police Subhasish Baruah highlighted the upcoming implementation of three new laws—Bharatiya Naya Sanhita (BNS), Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), and Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023. These laws, replacing outdated statutes, aim to modernize India’s judicial system with emphasis on technology and forensic science. The event, attended by local leaders and community representatives, featured detailed explanations and an interactive session on the transformative impact of the new legal framework.
