New Political Party ‘Jana Jagaran Asom’ Formed in Jonai

Over 500 leaders from Jonai Assembly constituency gathered in Ruwad village on Sunday to form a new regional political party, “Jana Jagaran Asom” (JJA). The party aims to address political issues and represent local interests in upcoming Assembly, panchayat, and Mising Council elections. Former TMPK leader Lenin Doley chaired the meeting, highlighting the need for a strong platform to overcome political exclusion. Raju Medok was elected President, with Sankar Taying as Working President and Bishal Basumatary as General Secretary. JJA will initially field candidates in Dhemaji district elections.
