New Train Stoppages Approved in Lower Assam

The Railways Ministry has approved new stoppages at Goreswar, Gossaigaon Hat, and Chautara stations on an experimental basis.

Trains to halt include Guwahati–Murkeong Lachit Express, Kamrup Express, North East Express, Vande Bharat Express, and Sifhung Express.

The move follows public demand and CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s request, aiming to boost connectivity, trade, and regional development.
