Newborn Allegedly Dumped in Pit: Guwahati Shocked by Illegitimate Child’s Tragic Fate

In a distressing incident, the remains of a newborn girl, allegedly dumped by her mother in a pit, surfaced in Guwahati’s Amtola village. The unmarried daughter of Nabeen Das reportedly gave birth at home, concealing the delivery. Nabeen Das and his daughter buried the infant in their backyard, but were caught by vigilant neighbors, prompting a police complaint. Despite initial denials, a police team led by OC Bhaskar Malla Patowary unearthed the body. The police have sent the remains for post-mortem and detained the father and daughter for questioning.
