NFR Installs Modern Parcel Cages at Key Stations

GUWAHATI: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has started installing modern parcel cages at seven stations, including Kishanganj, New Jalpaiguri, Siliguri, Haldibari, Malda Court, Balurghat and Katihar. Work is currently underway at New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Malda Court and Balurghat, while installation at the remaining stations is expected to begin soon.

The dedicated facilities will provide organised spaces for temporary storage and handling of parcels and luggage. NFR said the initiative is aimed at improving operational efficiency and security while reducing the risk of consignments being misplaced, damaged or stolen and providing customers with more reliable parcel services.
