NFR Launches Heritage-Inspired Rail Coach Restaurant in Guwahati

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has opened a Rail Coach Restaurant at Guwahati’s Uzanbazar riverfront. Inaugurated by NFR General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, the restaurant is part of NFR’s initiative to convert decommissioned coaches into heritage-inspired dining spaces.

With 17 such restaurants now operational, these unique venues blend local culture, quality service, and a nostalgic railway ambience. The Guwahati outlet offers a diverse menu, inclusivity for all visitors, and contributes to employment and railway revenue. It promises to be a key attraction for food lovers and railway enthusiasts alike.
