NFR Records Major Gains in Infrastructure and Safety in FY 2025–26

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has achieved significant progress in infrastructure development and safety during FY 2025–26 so far. The zone commissioned nine Road Over Bridges and completed eight Road Under Bridges, while eliminating 21 manned level crossings to improve safety. Track and sleeper renewals crossed 330 km each, along with large-scale ballast renewal and removal of 16 speed restrictions. Passenger amenities were enhanced with new foot over bridges, platforms, and sheds. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, works at Haibargaon station were completed, further strengthening passenger-friendly facilities across the NFR network.
