NFR Reports Major Rail Infrastructure Growth in Northeast

Guwahati, Assam: Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has highlighted significant progress in railway development across the Northeast over the past 12 years, driven by increased budget allocations. The zone has electrified over 95% of its network, laid more than 2,000 km of new tracks, expanded connectivity to several state capitals, and introduced modern train services. NFR is also undertaking major projects, including a new rail-cum-road bridge at Saraighat and international rail links with Bhutan to boost regional connectivity and economic growth.
