NFR Unloads 1,021 Freight Rakes Across Zone in August

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) handled 1,021 freight rakes across its zone during August, ensuring the steady supply of essential and industrial commodities such as food grains, fertilisers, coal, sugar and salt. Assam recorded the highest unloading with 560 rakes, followed by West Bengal with 193 and Bihar with 151.
Tripura handled 69 rakes, while Manipur recorded 19, Nagaland 15, Arunachal Pradesh eight and Mizoram six. NFR said continuous monitoring helped improve unloading efficiency and reduce turnaround time, supporting public distribution, industrial activities and trade across the region.
