NHM Assam Orders Release of 15 Employees After Reaching Retirement Age

Guwahati: The National Health Mission (NHM), Assam has ordered the immediate release of 15 employees who have attained the age of 60 years, following its August 31, 2026 order on the retirement age of NHM employees.
The employees, serving at the NHM State Headquarters, include medical, technical and administrative personnel. They have been directed to hand over their responsibilities and clear any outstanding liabilities before being relieved. NHM has also allowed eligible Allopathic Medical Officers and specialist doctors to be retained temporarily as consultants for up to three months when required for public service.
