NHM Employees’ Statewide Protest Disrupts Health Services in Assam

National Health Mission employees across Assam continued their strike for the third day, demanding equal pay, financial security, gratuity, pension, and other benefits as per government norms and Supreme Court orders. Sit-in protests were held in Golaghat, North Lakhimpur, and Darrang, with hundreds of workers joining. Except for emergency services, duties remain suspended, severely affecting healthcare. Employees warned the agitation will continue if their demands are not met by the State government.
