NIA Court Sentences Two Assam Men in ABT Terror Module Case

A Special NIA Court in Guwahati sentenced two men from Barpeta, Assam, for their involvement in the Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) terror module. Mamunur Rashid received a three-year sentence, including time already served, while Mukibul Hussain got a six-month sentence. Both were convicted under UAPA and IPC for their roles in an ABT module linked to Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent. The investigation is ongoing following charges filed in 2022.
