No coaching below class X; new rules for coaching centres

Enrolling kids younger than 16 in training centres is expressly forbidden by the new regulations. Furthermore, they are not allowed to make false claims, including assurances of improved grades or position. Moreover, instructors with less than a graduate degree are not permitted to work in these establishments.

To lessen the strain on students, the bill suggests policies including weekly breaks, appropriately spaced sessions, and limited class hours. The rules provide that training centres that charge excessive fees that cause stress or in situations where it is difficult to prevent student suicides may face fines of up to Rs 1 lakh or closure.
