Nomination Process Begins for Assam’s Lok Sabha Elections: Key Candidates and Constituencies

The Election Commission initiated the nomination process for four Lok Sabha constituencies in Assam, including Guwahati, slated for polling in the third phase. Voting in Guwahati, Barpeta, Dhubri, and Kokrajhar (ST) will occur on May 7. The notification set April 19 as the deadline for nominations, followed by scrutiny on April 20 and withdrawal by April 22. Counting of votes will coincide with the national schedule on June 4.
