Non-Vegetarian Dishes to Be Added Soon on Howrah–Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper

Non-vegetarian food options will soon be introduced on India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train between Howrah and Kamakhya, Eastern Railway officials said. The move follows passenger feedback over the current vegetarian-only menu. Railways said the train will offer Assamese cuisine from Kamakhya and Bengali dishes from Howrah. Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar confirmed that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has assured the inclusion of non-vegetarian fare within a week.
