Opposition Leader Criticizes Hike in GMCH Clinical Test Charges

Debabrata Saikia, Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly, criticized the recent hike in clinical test charges at GMCH. From August 1, GMCH increased fees for various lab investigations, registration, and bed rentals. Saikia urged the government to reconsider the hike and focus on improving hospital infrastructure to prevent patients from opting for private hospitals over government ones.
