Outrage in Sivasagar After Minor Assaulted at Smart Bazar

A 15-year-old boy was allegedly beaten by Smart Bazar staff in Sivasagar on suspicion of theft, despite paying his bill. His family claimed he was dragged to a CCTV blind spot and assaulted.

Police detained 10 employees after locals sealed the store and staged protests demanding justice. An FIR has been filed, while authorities investigate.

In a separate incident, a three-year-old child was allegedly assaulted by a doctor at an eye clinic in Silchar earlier this year.
