Oversized Trailer Blocks Track, Disrupts Train Services in Assam

Train services on the Tinsukia–Dibrugarh route were halted for over four hours on Sunday after an oversized trailer attempted an unauthorised entry at a level crossing and got stuck. Several trains, including the Rajdhani Express, Tambaram Express and Lokmanya Tilak Express, were affected.

The trailer, belonging to a private contractor working for Oil India Limited, was removed at 10:10 am. Passengers were shifted by road, and food and water were arranged.

The vehicle driver has been detained, and the railway authorities are coordinating with OIL to take action against the contractor.
