Pastor Accused of Repeatedly Raping Minor in Assam

In Ulupathar Panigaon, Assam’s Margherita subdivision, Pastor Isaac Hapat allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl multiple times after luring her to his home on June 10, 2025, under the pretext of needing help with household chores due to his wife’s illness. The victim, who was threatened into silence, escaped on June 22, revealing the abuse after her health deteriorated. Locals expressed shock, and an FIR has been filed, with police investigating the case.
