Picnic Turns Tragic: Accidents in Assam Leave Junior Doctors Injured, One Dead

Three junior doctors from Jorhat Medical College were injured in a highway collision in Bokakhat on December 27. Their vehicle struck a truck while returning from a picnic. Assam Minister Atul Bora, passing by, stopped to assist and ensured they received immediate medical care.

In another incident on December 23, Gautam Ganguly, 56, died after slipping into a stream at Aradonga picnic spot near the Assam-Meghalaya border. His body was recovered and sent for a post-mortem. Both incidents highlight the need for increased safety measures during outings.
