PM Modi Apologises for Women’s Bill Failure, Vows Future Push

Narendra Modi apologised to women across India for the failure to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament and reaffirmed his commitment to its future implementation.

In a national address, he blamed opposition parties for blocking the Bill, saying political interests were placed above women’s empowerment. He alleged that such actions hindered a crucial reform and said women would remember the setback.

Modi also criticised opposition parties, including Congress, accusing them of delaying reforms, while assuring continued efforts to ensure the Bill’s passage in the future.
