PM Modi Inaugurates ₹5,000-Crore Ethanol Plant in Assam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a ₹5,000-crore bamboo-based ethanol plant at Numaligarh, Golaghat, and laid the foundation of a ₹7,230-crore petro unit. Highlighting Assam as an energy hub, he announced projects worth ₹18,000 crore, including healthcare and connectivity initiatives. The ethanol plant will boost bamboo farming, create jobs, and strengthen India’s green energy push.
