PM Modi Leaves for South Africa to Attend G20 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for Johannesburg to attend the 20th G20 Leaders’ Summit from November 21–23, hosted for the first time in Africa. He said the event builds on India’s 2023 G20 Presidency, which secured permanent membership for the African Union.
Modi will present India’s views on global challenges under the theme “Solidarity, Equality and Sustainability” and also join the 6th IBSA Summit. He is expected to meet the Indian diaspora and hold several bilateral meetings with world leaders during the visit.
