PM Modi Likely to Attend Assam NDA Government Swearing-In Ceremony

Following the BJP-led NDA’s massive victory in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the upcoming swearing-in ceremony, with the final date depending on his schedule.

Sarma said the BJP unit wants Modi to be present this time, unlike in 2021 when COVID-19 restrictions prevented his visit. He added that BJP leaders will soon finalise cabinet ministers and oath-taking arrangements.

The Chief Minister also claimed the NDA’s strong performance matched his pre-poll estimate of around 102 seats, which he said was based on extensive campaigning and public response across constituencies.
