PM Modi to Attend Bhupen Hazarika Birth Centenary Event in Guwahati

Over 1,200 artistes will perform a medley of Dr Bhupen Hazarika’s songs during his birth centenary celebrations at Khanapara on September 13, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM will also launch a ₹100 commemorative coin and release a biography of the music legend. The next day, Modi will inaugurate projects including Darrang Medical College and lay the foundation for the Narengi-Kuruwa bridge and Guwahati Ring Road, followed by the inauguration of a bio-refinery at Numaligarh.
