PM Modi to Land on Highway Airstrip During Assam Visit on Feb 14

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will land on the Northeast’s first highway-based emergency landing strip on the Dibrugarh–Moran stretch during his Assam visit on February 14, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said. Fighter jets, including Rafale and Sukhoi aircraft, will also land on the road in a special aerial display. During the visit, Modi will inaugurate the Kumar Bhaskar Varma bridge, start classes at IIM Palasbari, flag off 100 electric buses in Guwahati, and inaugurate an NIC data centre. He will later attend a BJP booth sammelan. This will be Modi’s 38th visit to Assam in 11 years.
