PM Modi to Lay Foundation Stone of Kaziranga Elevated Corridor This Month: CM Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor later this month. Speaking at the New Year press interaction in Guwahati, Sarma said the project will mark a major boost to Assam’s infrastructure.
The 34.45-km corridor, approved by the Centre at a cost of ₹6,957 crore, aims to improve connectivity, ensure safe wildlife movement across Kaziranga National Park, reduce highway accidents and promote eco-tourism.
Sarma also announced that Assam will become the first state to constitute the 8th State Pay Commission and said several landmark projects would be unveiled in the coming months. He added that Assam’s heritage is gaining national recognition and urged unity among all communities to counter infiltration.
