PM Modi to Lay Foundations for Kaziranga Elevated Corridor, Indo-Bhutan Rail Link

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones for the elevated corridor through Kaziranga National Park and the Kokrajhar–Gelephu railway link in January, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
The Cabinet has approved the ₹6,957-crore elevated corridor project, now in the tendering stage. The proposed Kokrajhar–Gelephu line will be the first railway link between India and Bhutan.
Sarma also announced an upcoming aero hub near Guwahati airport and said the PM may visit again in February to inaugurate the Guwahati–North Guwahati bridge and lay the foundation stone for the Dolu greenfield airport in Cachar.
