PM Modi’s Election Rally Set for Assam as Campaigning Gains Momentum

Assam Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallah Baruah announced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the state ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. PM Modi is scheduled to address a rally at Bidanchal ground in Borkura, marking his first election address in Assam since the election schedule was announced by the Election Commission of India. The rally will be held in the Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency, allocated to the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) by the saffron party. Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to visit Assam on April 7 and 8, addressing three rallies to support BJP candidates. With the state aiming to provide 13 Lok Sabha seats to bolster Modi’s election campaign, preparations are underway for voting in Assam across three phases on April 19, April 26, and May 7.
