PM Modi’s Historic Visit to Kaziranga: A Milestone for Assam’s World Heritage Site

Assam’s renowned Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve are eagerly preparing to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 8, 2024. This historic visit marks the first time the Prime Minister will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its rich flora, fauna, and vibrant ecosystem. Scheduled to arrive on the evening of March 8, PM Modi will stay at the Police Guest House and embark on a journey to explore the picturesque Kohora Range in the National Park on March 9. The Assam government and the forest department are elated about the visit, with preparations underway, including a jeep safari and an elephant safari planned for the Prime Minister. Assam Forest Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary emphasized that PM Modi’s visit will enhance the global significance of the World Heritage Site, elevating its stature. After the one-day visit to Kaziranga, the Prime Minister is expected to travel to Arunachal Pradesh.
