PM Narendra Modi to Visit Assam on March 13–14, Launch Major Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam on March 13 and 14 to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several development projects. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the visit will cover Kokrajhar, Guwahati, and Silchar.

In Guwahati, the Prime Minister will release an instalment under the PM-Kisan scheme and launch a programme to provide land pattas to tea garden workers. He will also dedicate the 150 MW Kopili Hydropower Project and other projects worth about ₹10,000 crore.

On March 14, Modi will visit Silchar to lay the foundation stone for the ₹22,000-crore Silchar–Guwahati Expressway, aimed at improving connectivity with Barak Valley.
