Police Seize Fake Currency and Gold in Joint Operation in Guwahati

In a collaborative effort between Fatasil Police and the Special Operations Group (SOG), a significant quantity of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and counterfeit gold was confiscated in a raid conducted on Wednesday in the Datalpara area near Dhirenpara in Guwahati. The operation resulted in the seizure of FICN amounting to Rs 8 lakh in Rs 500 denomination notes, along with two fake gold bars shaped like boats. Two individuals, Bahar Uddin and Jakir Hossain, were apprehended in connection with the illicit items, and legal action against them has been initiated.
