Police Seize Handmade Pistol and Ammunition in Barpeta District Operation

In a significant operation, the police in Barpeta district, Assam, seized a handmade pistol and eight live bullets during a raid in Lasanga village. Acting on information from special sources, the police targeted the residence of Lalsan in Lasanga village, Kalgachia, where they discovered the handmade pistol, live ammunition, and reportedly, explosive materials. The individuals apprehended in the operation are identified as Jafar Ali from West Bengal’s Malda district and Badal Haque from Shambalpur village. Authorities are actively investigating the matter, with interrogations underway for the arrested individuals.
