Polluting Industries Restricted Near Jagiroad Semiconductor Hub

Jagiroad, Assam: Ahead of the commencement of semiconductor production at Ratan Tata Electronic City in Jagiroad this financial year, the Assam government has restricted the establishment of cement plants and other polluting industries within a 15-km radius of the project. The move aims to protect the highly sensitive semiconductor facility from pollution, vibrations, and airborne contaminants that could affect chip production and quality.
