Pramod Boro Criticizes Hagrama Mohilary’s Leadership Ahead of Assembly Polls

UPPL president Pramod Boro on Friday strongly criticized the leadership of former BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary, alleging that the previous administration lacked clear policies and ran a syndicate-based system.
Speaking at a programme at the UPPL district office in Bijni, where he was felicitated after filing his nomination for the Rajya Sabha, Boro claimed that the earlier regime relied on syndicate money and funds from illegal job sales, which he said served personal interests rather than public welfare.
Boro also accused the previous Bodoland Territorial Council administration of mismanaging finances, stating that they left behind ₹3,000 crore in debt, while the UPPL government has managed to keep ₹300 crore in reserve.
He further said that if elected to the Rajya Sabha, he would raise issues concerning people from Bodoland, Assam, and the Northeast in Parliament.
Earlier, the United People’s Party Liberal launched a motorcycle rally across Chirang district, starting from Kajalgaon, as part of its outreach ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
Boro said the party has been holding rallies across 15 Bodoland constituencies and is prepared to contest all 15 seats, adding that UPPL aims to bring political change in the region.
