Preparations Intensify for PM Modi’s March 14 Visit to Barak Valley

Arrangements are underway for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s March 14 visit to Barak Valley, with authorities finalising logistics, crowd control and traffic plans. A decentralised movement strategy will route visitors from Sribhumi and Hailakandi directly to the venue to avoid congestion in Silchar.
A public meeting will be held at the Ramnagar bypass, with facilities for nearly two lakh people. During the visit, the Prime Minister will lay foundation stones for the Rs 22,000-crore Panchgram–Silchar high-speed expressway, the Rs 564-crore Silchar Flyover, and Barak Valley’s first Agriculture College at Patharkandi.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will accompany the Prime Minister at the event.
