Prime Accused in DB Share Market Scam Brought to Guwahati for Questioning

Dipankar Barman, the prime accused in the DB share market scam, was brought to Guwahati from Goa on October 29 under heavy security. Barman, who allegedly defrauded investors of nearly Rs 7,000 crore through his company, DB Stock Broking, was arrested after a three-month manhunt. He is being questioned at Panbazar Police Station. Assam Police have arrested over 65 individuals linked to the scam, including actors Sumi Borah and Monalisa Das. The Assam government has handed over 41 related cases to the CBI.
