On January 20, the city’s traffic police implemented commuter traffic restrictions ahead of the arrival of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Guwahati.

The Guwahati Traffic Police further explained the limitations would not apply to school buses, ambulances, fire departments, or other emergency vehicles.
