Priyanka Gandhi Slams CM Himanta Sarma Over Personal Attacks on Gaurav Gogoi

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday criticised Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for his remarks against APCC president Gaurav Gogoi, calling personal attacks on a leader’s family “wrong politics.” Speaking in Sonapur after paying tribute to late singer Zubeen Garg, she said politics should focus on positive issues, not polarisation.

Vadra urged the state government to address concerns of youth and women seeking jobs and alleged rising corruption in Assam. She clarified that her visit to ‘Zubeen Khetra’ was only to pay homage to Zubeen Garg and stressed that the site should remain free from political use.
